This week there have been some BIG changes in internet marketing.

Firstly Face Book has updated their site so that FAN or Business Pages:

• communication is easier
• layout page dimensions have slightly changed, which may impact your photos / website
• … check out their changes today.

Plus Click Bank have updated their Terms and Conditions, so if you had affiliate links with them, they may not be displaying, and you need to agree to the changes, to reset up your links.

In our journey as internet marketers, we come across different tools which may add value to what we are doing.

Two tools recently on the market, and here in Australia are the Flip Ultra HD Camcorder and the Kodak Zi8.

My research so far has included discussions with other Internet Marketers to learn initially what tools they were using, and also searching the internet  (Google and Stores including Walmart)  for new technology to meet the HD video making need, some of which at that stage had not yet arrived in Australia. 

To date there are three products which people have shared they are happy with the video results from:  2 of these will be covered here, and the third is the i-phone (latest model) (of which I’ve heard good feedback re video recording).

I have used the Flip Ultra and found it easy to use, and would like the screen to be larger for easier viewing when filming. 

With the Flip Ultra HD:  The rigid USB port is a concern, particularly for use with laptop computer on a desk.  It does have inbuilt 8GB harddrive and internal software, so you can use it with any compatible computer.

The Kodak Zi8 has a few options when fiilming (and I will need to learn more to decide what is best).  It has a slightly flexible usb port: which will allow some flexibility with a laptop being used on desk (although part of the security for the usb may get in the way of the usb arm, as you position it: best to check this in a store, prior to purchase).  A purchase of a SDHC Class 6 card (or class 4) is suggested, as very limited internal memory.  The one great thing about this model is the  option to attach an external microphone. With so many of us creating multiple websites, it is essential to have hosting which meets our needs.

I use the Hostgator Reseller package, which allows use of multiple web templates, as well as scope to easily upload / create other CMS based sites, including WordPress.

Some other Hostgator packages indicate unlimited hosting, yet provide only ONE time use of web templates, and do NOT provide ongoing access to web templates for multiple sites.

Yes there is an initial learning curve , and thankfully they have great phone and internet support (yes for all timezones).

Of course you can always outsource the site setup and development and simply take advantage of the fantastic hosting rates.

4G:   Telstra announced yesterday they are launching G4 technology by the end of this year, which will be even faster (? double), and with that new phones to support the technology.  The same mobile phone towers will accommodate 4G.
